I FINALLY registered for a gym membership this week!
I chose to join Club One Fitness over 24 Hour Fitness; Club One has a much larger pool and a few extra amenities. I think I’m going to really love it here!
I downloaded the Club One app, which has tons of resources for the gym, like a class schedule
I took my first yoga class yesterday (at this gym, not the first ever) and it was great. The class was challenging and effective; I can already tell I’m going to be sore for a few days! I spent 20 minutes on an elliptical before the class to get my heart rate up. A sports therapist recommend I give the elliptical a try while I am still recovering. I have no pain in my leg anymore so I decided to start out easy with 20 minutes to test the waters. So far so good; I will give it a day or so to make sure it stays that way!
My dog has taken a liking to yoga as well…
…Or at least lying on my yoga mat at home in the middle of my workouts!
3 weeks to go!
It has now been 3 weeks since my last run. My leg is pain-free so this time off has been just what I needed. I will probably be taking 3 more weeks off, unless I get a green light sooner than that.
What else happens in 3 (3 1/2) weeks? My trip to Hawaii!! My boyfriend and I finally booked our hotels! We originally planned this trip around the Kauai Half Marathon, so I’m naturally a little sad since I will not be able to participate…but not really. I mean, I’m still going to Hawaii. We decided to stay on the Big Island and save Kauai for another time- I WILL run that race one day!
