My blog received some unexpected publicity this past weekend when the kind people of the Napa Valley Marathon posted a link to my site on their facebook page!
Hey, that’s me!
Thanks for the support NVM!
On to my workout! Yesterday I ran 4 miles in 34 minutes:
I once again managed to stop my Nike+ app mid-run (see break in the map). I run with my phone in my hand (yeah I know, I know-not the best form). So I manage to pause the app every now and then without noticing. It’s not a BIG deal or anything. I only just ran like 4.11 miles instead of 4.01, but who’s counting? It’s not like it matters that I’ve been shorted like 50 NikeFuel points*. It would probably do me well to get an armband for running. But I like taking pictures when I run so it’s nice to have the camera ready in my hand! Like pictures of this cool fountain I found:
…Or I can flip the iPhone camera around and take awesome shots like this during a race!
TG I was having a great top-of-my-hair day
Being the tech savvy person that I am (NOT) I found another cool feature on my Nike+ App: Splits!
Mile 4: Fastest. Now that’s what I like to see!
Well, I’ve got 3 more runs scheduled for the week, including a 10 mile long run this weekend. If I DO run the Portland Marathon Oct 6 as I am hoping to, I am right on schedule with my training. Which means I cannot get injured or sick -no pressure or anything! My fall race schedule looks like this so far:
Kauai Half Marathon: Sept 1
Portland Marathon: October 6
Nike Women’s Tiffany Necklace: October 20
The North Face Endurance Challenge Half Marathon: December 8
I’ve got a lot of work to put in, but I couldn’t be more excited!
*I have no idea what NikeFuel points are
